Your AAS degree contains general education credits that transfer to NIU. In addition, NIU will grant up to 30 proficiency credits based on the technical content of the AAS. Proficiency credits are posted when you have completed all other degree requirements.
Second, contact Colleen Barker, BSAM program advisor, at 815-753-0114 to review your AAS degree and professional goals. You'll identify remaining general education courses you can take at your local community college before (or while) you take your NIU courses.
